Roosevelt G. Williams, Jr. was born April 22nd, 1953, to Roosevelt and Lorraine Williams in Long Branch, New Jersey and on February 21st, 2018, God called his child home.
Roosevelt, also known as “Toot,” was educated in Middletown Township School System and graduated in June 1971. During high school, he worked as an aid at the Atlantic Highlands Nursing Home. Shortly after graduation, he served in the United States Air Force from 1972 to 1976, ending with the rank of Sargent. After being honorably discharged, Toot returned home to Atlantic Highlands where he opened his own hot dog stand. From there he began a career supervising construction of luxury town homes for KHovnanian which lasted over 25 years.
As a single father, Roosevelt's devoted passion was his two children, Sandra and Randy Kwapinski. They shared many fond memories, including fishing trips at the marina, hot air balloon rides, adventurous trips to New York City, and scouring the local flea markets. They also enjoyed attending blues and jazz festivals and going to see drive-in movies.
Roosevelt was predeceased by his parents, Roosevelt Williams, Sr. and Lorraine Williams, and his sister, Evelyn Williams. He leaves to cherish his memory, his son Randy Kwapinski and his wife Christel of Boynton Beach, FL, his daughter Sandra Kwapinski of Fairhope, AL, his brother Francis Euell and his wife Stephanie of Neptune, NJ, along with a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Roosevelt will forever be missed by his friends and family for his quick wit and genuine soul.
