Arnold Keith Brown, Sr. was born in Staten Island, New York on October 15, 1957. “Keith” was the youngest child of the late Deacon Danny Brown and the late Mother Bessie Lockhart Brown, and the grandson of the late Rev. Horace and Mrs. Mamie Lockhart.
Keith gave his life to Christ at an early age and joined the Second Baptist Church in Perth Amboy, New Jersey under the leadership of The Reverend H. Mack Martin. He was very active in Sunday School. As a kid Keith loved to play football, baseball, and basketball, and visit his grandparents in Alabama. He was a graduate of Perth Amboy High School and went on to attend Trenton State College (now The College of New Jersey).
Arnold transitioned from earth to glory on March 12, 2021. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brother David Brown and sister Marilyn Brown.
Keith leaves to cherish his memory: a daughter: Keithina Blacknall (Thalmus) of Perth Amboy, New Jersey; two sons Arnold Keith Brown, Jr. (Eneyda) of Elmira, New York and Darryl Heyward, Sr.; a brother, Harold L. Brown of Perth Amboy, New Jersey; two sisters: Betty Brown-Joynes of Voorhees, New Jersey; Fannie Lockhart Gordon (William) of Somerset, New Jersey; one uncle: Charles Lockhart (Brenda) of Birmingham, Alabama; two aunts: Dorothy Blair (Steve) of Staten Island, New Jersey; and Eva Greenwood of Jamaica, New York; his grandchildren: Nyazia, Kenneth, Imaira, Daisy, Kathryn, Immanuel, Nazir, Raven, Celia; a great granddaughter: Harmony; his very special nieces and nephews: Jonathan (Nalo), Christina, David (Christine), Hashim (Sade), Danielle, Sabreena (Lamar), Harold D. (Alana), and Makeda; twelve great nieces and nephews, and a host of cousins and friends.
