Artis T Young

Today, we celebrate the life of Artis Timothy Young aka “Tim”. On Saturday, December 30, 2023, our loved one’s life was taken, and he was called home to be with the lord. Tim, 46 years old, was born in New Brunswick, NJ on December 8, 1977, to Debra Miller and John Young.

Tim was a loving son, father, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin, and friend. He truly loved his family and welcomed those he encountered. Tim attended Franklin Township Public Schools and later went on to study at Middlesex County College. While in high school, Tim played basketball, a sport that he absolutely loved.

Tim was preceded in death by his biological father, John Young; paternal father, Bobby Mason; his grandparents, Artis Miller, Shirley Miller, and Mary Young; his brother, Donel Mason; and a uncle, Luther Sirmans.

He leaves behind to cherish in memories his son, Jahlil Young-Moore of VA; his mother, Debra Miller of NJ; a sister, Melissa Young of GA; three brothers, Isaac “Scooby” Young of GA, David “Big D” Miller of NJ, and Alexander Miller of NJ; three aunts, Christine Montgomery of NJ, Bertha Miller of NJ, and Connie Miller of GA; six uncles, Donel Wolf of NJ, Henry Wolf of GA, Larry Miller of NJ, Artis Miller, Jr.(Alexandria) of NJ, Johnny Miller of GA, and Earl Bell of GA; five great aunts: Annie Lee Patrick of GA, Barbara Tolbert of GA, Geraldine Mobley of TN, Betty Mims of IL, and Eva Williams of AL; a special cousin, Earl “Patch” Robinson; three god brothers, Malik Higgins of GA, Jerrod Sinkfield of NJ, and Kevin McDaniels of NJ; three god aunts, Charlotte Sutherland of GA, Nona Tyus of NJ, and Tina Myrick of NJ; his girlfriend, Diamond of NJ; four special friends Shamika Moore (his son’s mother) of NC, Michelle Davis of TX, Deanne Barnes of PA, and Ali Fitzpatrick of NJ; and host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
