Avion Carpenter Obituary

Obituary

Avion Shabré Carpenter transitioned to her heavenly mansion, safely in God’s arms early on January 17, 2021.  She was born on February 1, 1993 to Crystal Carpenter and resided in South River, NJ for a good part of her life.  We knew from the start that she was going to be a person who followed her own agenda.  Even though she was somewhat quiet with a humble, sweet and gentle soul, she did enjoy her life to the fullest.  Her dimpled smile was infectious and could melt your heart.

Avion spent her early years going to private school in South River, NJ, where she excelled in her studies.  A few years later, they moved to Piscataway, NJ and she joined the Pop Warner cheerleaders and was involved all the way thru high school.  Shortly after that, Avion and her mom joined Abundant Life Family Worship Church in New Brunswick, NJ, where she became an active participant in their programs.  Her early Christian teachings taught her about the power of our Savior.  Psalms 91:1, “Whoever dwells in the shelter of the most high, will abide in the shadow of the Almighty.”  She participated in the Junior Princess Ministry at the church.

In her early teen years, Avion developed a strong desire to become a cosmetologist. Her determination managed to get her into that program.   She graduated from the East Brunswick Vocational School in 2011. She worked at Garda as a teller for several years and transferred from New Jersey to Georgia.

For the last 5 years, Avion lived in Lawrenceville, Georgia. She was dedicated & a hard worker. She enjoyed working at Sports & Collision Inc.  She was also a Regional Sales Director with Financial Education Services alongside of her mom, helping educate families about financial literacy, and creating generational wealth.

Avion is survived and cherished by her mother, Crystal “Starr” Carpenter of Lawrenceville, GA; her grandparents, Florine and Zachary Foster of NJ; one sister, Naskiqua Foxx of NJ;  five aunts, Dr. Shalay Foster of NJ , Shaquanna Banks of PA,  Doretha Carroll, Diane Carpenter both of NJ, and Avis Jean Carpenter of NC; three uncles, James Carpenter of NJ, John Carpenter (Paulette) of NC, and Ronald Simmons (Sharon) of DE; and a loving host of cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.  Special thanks to God to the soldiers that He put in place whom assistance and strength was instrumental to lean on during this trying time.
