Born in Chester, SC on September 20, 1938 Beatrice Glenn was the eldest daughter of 6 children to Jessie Glenn Sr. and Elner Worthy Glenn. Beatrice joined the church at an early age. She was an avid member of the Gethsemane Baptist Church in Chester, South Carolina. She was educated in the Chester County Public School system.
Beatrice relocated to New Jersey for work and found a job as a domestic caretaker. She loved to share memories of the people she met and her accomplishments while working. When she came to New Jersey she joined Pilgrim Baptist Church in Red Bank, New Jersey often dedicating her time helping the church in whatever capacity was needed. Next to her love for the Lord, and her passion for keeping house, she loved to care for children. There was so much love in her heart and she wanted to make sure that no child went without. Her love for others knew no bounds. Readily, giving to others even if it meant sacrificing for herself.
After a long battle with cancer Beatrice departed this world to be with the Lord on March 7, 2021. Beatrice is predeceased by her parents Elner and Jessie Sr, a sister Dolly Stradford, two brothers William Glenn, and Jessie Glenn Jr. Beatrice leaves to cherish her memories brothers Columbus Glenn of Irvington, NJ, Hayward Glenn of South Carolina, Michael Ervin and wife Sonia of South Carolina, a sister Elizabeth Glenn of Irvington, NJ, sister in law Jeanette Glenn and Gertrude Glenn, brother in law John Stradford of NJ.
