Chadd Lackey, the Executive Director of the New Jersey State Commission of Investigation, was killed Wednesday, July 10th in a car crash in Hamilton, Mercer County.
Chadd's family along with a host of friends and colleagues are mourning the loss of a great man who broke barriers and received the historic recognition of becoming the first Black Executive Director of the SCI in 2020. He served the state for nearly 20 years.
Chadd Whitney Lackey was born on August 24, 1968 to Roosevelt and Joyce Lackey in Dryden, Michigan. Chadd is preceded by his grandparents Clinton and Bessie Harrington, Sr and he leaves to cherish his memory his parents, Roosevelt and Joyce Lackey, his children, Joshua and Jordan Lackey, devoted partner, Doris Salzano and her children, Gennaro and Camilla, and his great uncle, Clinton Harrington, Jr (Carol).
