After many years, she remarried the late Robert Johnson. From that union was born two children, a daughter, Sharon Viola Thomas, and a son, the late Robert John Johnson.
She was a longtime member of St Peter's Episcopal Church, where she participated in a variety of activities. Constancia embraced many memorable new chapters in her life. She continued to maintain independence, and her life was a testament to her strength and self-reliance.
