Craig "Butch" McDonald was born to James Travis McDonald and Barbara McDonald in Perth Amboy, NJ on June 6, 1952. He departed this life peacefully in his sleep on November 29, 2020.
Craig received his childhood education in Carteret, NJ. He was an exceptionally talented basketball player who earned the nickname Bing after legendary player, David Bing. He briefly attended Rutgers University and lived the remainder of his life in Plainfield, NJ. He was a calm, kind, warm-hearted soul who was loved by all who knew him. He was known for his quick wit and wordplay (he had jokes!), not unlike his son, Dorian, who inherited his unique sense of humor.
Craig is predeceased by his mother and father. He leaves to cherish his memory: his children, Dorian Hines and Simone Hines; his sister, Trudy McDonald-Walston and stepbrother, Rommel Powell; one niece, Dijha Allen; five grandchildren, Jashaun Barnes, Fatir and Chantz Hines, and Naiim and Sela Ferrell; two great nieces, Olivia and Averie Allen, and many loving cousins and dear friends.
