Curtis (Curtie) Bell A.K.A the Mayor of Somerville was born on June 18, 1955 to Henry and Molly Bell. He passed away on May 7, 2020. Surrounded by his loving caregivers and family. Curtis attended and graduated from Bridgewater public schools. He was employed by Somerset County Transportation and the Dodge & Ford dealership Company. Curtis was honest and lived a godly life and enjoyed attending church. Whenever he entered God's house he walked in with praise. He was of a pleasant nature and never complained. He appreciated being around people and people appreciated being around him. He was passionate about spreading God's word and did this everywhere he went. He had a pure heart and was very helpful and help many people during his lifetime. Curtis was a family man and enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren and his family. He would not miss any event that was in honor of his children and grandchildren. Curtis enjoyed staying the night with his sisters and staying up all night and sharing stories and spending time with his nieces and nephews. He enjoyed cooking for everyone and making his famous potatoes salad. . Curtis was very reliable and willing to drive you around to take care of business, or just to go for a ride. Curtis was predeceased by his parents Henry and Molly Bell, his brothers Henry, Christopher, Cleatus, Harry, and Hamilton; his nephew Christopher, his niece Tyesha and Great - Nephew John. Curtis was blessed with a large family to cherish his memories. He is survived by Diane and their two sons Christopher and Todd and his grandchildren Aiden, Todd Jr, and Lyanna. his brothers Howard (Cynthia), and Ronald and his sisters Marie and Bonnie Bell, and Mrs. Marge Vaness and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and many friends and acquaintances. The family would like to thank everyone for their prayers, and phone calls and love during this time.
