Curtis Bryant Jr. Obituary

Curtis Bryant, Jr. was the firstborn child of Curtis and Betty Bryant on December 31, 1958, in the Flowers Hospital on 5th Avenue in New York City. His parents moved to the Bronx and his siblings Craig, Belinda and Charles were added to the family. They resided in Patterson Houses in the South Bronx.

Curtis always treasured his mom and attended the Baptist church with her. He also shared a special bond with his Step Father Leon Brown. As a youth, Curtis was loved by all in particular he was very close to the Oliver family who resided in the same building. Spending much of his childhood in their home.

He attended PS 31 Elementary School, JHS 149 (Clark) and later the NY Printing High School. He grew up playing basketball and developed a love of art and fashion. He especially loved fine suits and stylish hats.

He worked in the garment district with his dad and then went on to work for a restaurant supply company. After mastering that business, Curtis became an entrepreneur. He bought a box truck and started his own business, as a professional mover as well as delivering restaurant supplies.

Curtis later met Donna Davis and of that relationship one child was born, Curtis Bryant III.

In September of 2011, Curtis married Patricia Dobbins and moved to South River, NJ. He was employed at CRP Industries as a machine operator, a job that he was very fond of.

Curtis was introduced to the truth found in God’s word by his wife Patricia. His spiritual parents, Albert and Lilly Villar, nurtured his Biblical education. Curtis progressed in his study of the scriptures and symbolized his dedication to Jehovah, when he was baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses on July 29, 2017. He attended the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in East Brunswick, NJ.

In his spare time, he enjoyed spending time with his family and visiting his mother and siblings back home in New York. Fishing became a well-known hobby of his as well as traveling all over with family and friends. He loved working outdoors and maintaining his lawn as well as caring for his beloved pups. Spending time with his grandchildren was often the highlight of his day.

Curtis departed this life of 65 years on April 23, 2024. He was preceded in death by his father Curtis Bryant I, Stepfather Leon Brown, Brother Craig Bryant, and Nephew Jakim Bryant. He leaves behind to cherish his memory his Wife, Patricia Bryant, one Son, Curtis Bryant III,  Mother, Betty Bryant Brown, his Siblings; Belinda and Charles Bryant; Several Bonus Children and grandchildren as well as a host of Nieces, Nephews, Aunts, Uncles and Friends too numerous to mention.
