On Sunday July 9, 2023, Dajuan Lamar Harmon passed away at Robert Wood Johnson Hospital in Rahway, N.J. He was 46 years old. Dajuan was born to Steven Harmon and Hariette “Renee” Rankins Harmon on March 27, 1977, at St. Peter's Hospital in New Brunswick, N.J.
Raised in the Pine Street area of New Brunswick for the majority of his life, he attended the New Brunswick Public School System receiving his High School Diploma in 1996. In 1994 Dajuan became a father to his first daughter Kyaira with his childhood sweetheart Mandisa. Dajuan and Mandisa solidified their family with marriage on October 12, 1997. Ultimately, the birth of their second daughter Kamarah in 2000 perfected their union.
Dajuan was a proud father who cherished his daughters, enjoying daddy daughter time, watching sports, vacationing, or just talking. He revered his mother signified by their close relationship. The bond with his brothers is unmatched. He often spoke of the good times growing up on Pine Street with his brothers along with the “Pine Street Boys''. He was the ultimate Dallas Cowboys and New York Knicks fan immersed in every game. He enjoyed a good party, dancing to House music, playing spades, big wiz and hanging out with family and friends. Without a doubt Dajuan loved his family and friends and enjoyed spending time with them for any and no occasion.
Dajuan began his work career as a forklift driver at Pentech for several years. He moved to OKC in 2001 and was employed at Frito Lay and Coors Brewing Co. during his time in OK. He and his family relocated back to NJ where he found employment at Protape. Where he was employed for 13 years beginning as Quality Control advancing to Inventory Control Supervisor.
Dajuan was predeceased by his eldest brother, Steven “Stevie” R. Harmon; paternal grandparents, George and Bertha Lee Harmon; two uncles, Michael “Malik” Rankins and Robert Franklin; and his in-laws, Richard Wright Sr. and Elizabeth Porch-Wright.
Dajuan leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Mandisa Harmon; two daughters, Kyaira Wright- Harmon and Kamarah Harmon; his parents, Steven R. Harmon and Harriette “Renee” Harmon; brothers: Steven “Romelle” Harmon (Marietta), Tyrelle Harmon (Nina), and Derek “Jermaine” Harmon; Sisters, Sharon Davis (Robert) and Antonelle “Nelly” Bradshaw (Leroy); maternal grandparents, Roosevelt and Daisy Rankins; aunts: Pamela Rankins his favorite aunt, Sandy Harmon, and Joyce Harmon; uncles: Larry Harmon (Desire'), Lorenzo Rankins (Terrisita), Rodney Rankins (Lisa), and Glen Rankins (Tracy); Godbrother, Marcus Edwards; Godchildren, Quentin and Tru Reyes; and a hosts of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
