Deirdre Michelle Lee‑Elliott was born on August 27, 1967, in New Brunswick, New Jersey, to Aso Lee Jr. and Willye Mae Lee. She peacefully completed her earthly journey on May 29, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of strength, faith, and unwavering love.
Deirdre lived with intentional focus and often reminded others to avoid “stinking thinking.” She was real, honest, full of Godly wisdom, and had a vibrant personality that could spark a conversation with anyone. Deeply committed to her family, church, and Pastor, she embraced every assignment from the Lord with humility and joy.
She graduated from Franklin High School and earned a Business Certificate from Kathryn Gibbs Business School. Her passion for spiritual growth led her to Bible College, where she graduated Summa Cum Laude, and she continued her studies at Faith Bible Institute.
Deirdre worked faithfully throughout her life, including roles with the United States Postal Service, Stop & Shop, and Pizza Hut. Her warm smile and strong work ethic opened many doors.
Her spiritual foundation began at First Baptist Church of Lincoln Gardens, and she later joined Mount Calvary Missionary Church under her uncle, Dr. Robert L. Lumzy. She served on the Deacon Board, led the Upper Room Ministry, and was an Armor Bearer, Lead Usher, worship warrior, and choir member. She also worked tirelessly on community events such as the Deep South Festival and Unity in the Community. Like her father, she carried a calming presence and a powerful prayer life.
Deirdre loved traveling, talking, studying the Word, praying, bowling, and fishing. She met and married her beloved husband, Rodney Elliott, and together they recently relocated to Charlotte, North Carolina to begin a new chapter.
She was preceded in death by her father, Aso Lee, and her grandparents, Geneva and Seggie Ruffin. She leaves to cherish her memory her husband, Rodney; her mother, Willye Mae; her sister, Yvette; her sons, Eric, Anthony (Venecia), and Rashawn; seven grandchildren; nephews Tahj and Christopher; and a host of loving family and friends.
