Faye B Francis was born to the late Mattie and Jessie Burden on January 31, 1948 in Meridian, Mississippi. Faye was the first of five children. Faye graduated from Dunbar High School in Baltimore, MD and went on to continue her studies at Hampton Institute graduating in 1971 with a degree in accounting.

Faye was a long-time member of First Baptist church of over fifteen years serving in many capacities. She later joined Calvary Baptist church where she served faithfully. After retiring from United Gypsum, Faye went on to work for Investors Bank as a personal banker.

On May 14, 2005, Faye married the love of her life, Owen Francis. From that union she has two step children, Pat and Lamont. Faye was a loving, strong, supportive, caring and dedicated person. She was known for her grace and beautiful smile.

Faye was always well-dressed, well-rounded and she loved to travel. Cruises were her favorite vacations. Faye also enjoyed a good shopping trip.

Faye is survived by one sister, Barbara; three brothers, Jessie, Nathaniel, and Calvin; one brother-in-love, William; two sisters-in-love, Jackie and Mary; eight nieces and nephews; thirteen great nieces and nephews; three god-children and a host of family throughout Maryland, Alabama, Mississippi, California, and so on.
