Gloria Lee Cook

Gloria Lee Cook, age 88, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 7, 2026 in her Piscataway home. 

Born on August 28, 1937, in Charleston, SC, Gloria was the beloved mother of Terence Cook and Jennifer Wilson. She was known for her unwavering kindness, sense of humor, generosity, and love of children. Her impact extended far beyond the classroom, leaving a lasting impact on everyone who knew her.

Gloria dedicated much of her life to her family and took great pride in her passion for the public school system. Gloria not only worked for the Middlesex County Vocational School system for 40 years, but she also advocated for her peers as a Middlesex County Education Association Delegate. Gloria especially loved volunteering at her church and spending time with her grandkids.

She is survived by her children, Terence (Marisol) Cook and Jennifer (Blair) Wilson; her siblings Albert Lee, Bettye Lee Smith, and Anthony Lee; her grandchildren Zoe Wilson, Aniyah Rodriguez, and Isabella Cook, and a slew of loving nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.   She was preceded in death by her husband, Willard H. Cook, as well as, her brothers Willie Robinson, Charles Major, Harold Lee, and William Thomas Lee.

A service will be held on January 16, 2026, at North Stelton AME Church, 123 Craig Avenue, Piscataway, NJ. Viewing starts at 10 AM, followed by funerary services at 11 AM.

Gloria Lee Cook will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
