I’shawn Da’von Pitts , 23, of Jackson departed this life on April 21st, 2026. I'shawn, affectionately known as “Boog”, “Smurf”, “Pittstop”, & “AI”, was born on December 10th, 2002 at Centra State Medical Center of Freehold and was raised primarily in the Manalapan area. He attended Manalapan public schools until senior year, where he graduated from Manchester HIgh School in June, 2021.
I’shawn worked as a student transit operator at The Neighborhood Charter, and was loved by all his students who adored their young cool driver. He was an entrepreneur and in a sense, a visionary, as he’d see a need and was determined to capitalize on it.
I’shawn was a student athlete who always maintained good grades and took pride in his athletic abilities. He was a lover of sports and an avid Giants and Knicks fan. Anyone who knew I’shawn knows he was a well put together young man, always dressed to impress, known for his extensive sneaker collection.
I’shawn was a non-combatitive, gentle spirit, certain to brighten any room simply by flashing his colgate smile. He was an old soul you could find sitting back cool, calm, and collected, observing everything and everyone around him. A peacemaker, never the wild child, I’shawn would converse with old timers as if he were one of them.
I’shawn is the eldest child on both sides of his family, and he took his role as big brother seriously. He always tried his best to lead by example. Instinctively he was protective of all his siblings, and did everything he could to be a good role model, knowing how much they all looked up to him.
I’shawn was predeceased by his Great Grandparents: Jessie & Ceola Pitts of Freehold, and Essex & Rachel Fenn of Lakewood. He leaves to cherish his memory: his Mother Danielle M. Warren & Stepfather Shawn Trapp of Jackson, his Father Rahshawn D. Pitts of Howell, Grandparents; Teretha Warren of Manalapan, Reginald Warren (Shonda) of Howell, and Daniele & Nathan Pitts of NC, Siblings; Zaine and Zahria Trapp, Ma’Niya Wynn, Ka’Mora and Ka’More Gill, Jaliyah Clark, and Rahmeer & Zoriana Pitts; Bonus siblings: Carlos Trapp and Mariah Marquez; Aunts : Ashanti Warren of Manalapan and Lashonda Pharmes (Michael) of Lakehurst, and an Uncle Tyshawn Pitts also of Lakehurst; and a host of other family & friends.
