On Monday, June 28, 2021, our heavenly father called James Stewart Marshall, aka Skip, to rest.

On December 9, 1956, Skip was born in Somerville, New Jersey, to Georgia Hinson and the late Milton Thompson. Skip was preceded in death by his Step- Father Eddie Hinson.

Skip attended Somerville High School, until enlisting in the US Army as a Lineman serving our county from 1975-1977 in Fort Gordon, GA. After being honorary discharged from the Army. Skip worked various jobs throughout his life.  Skip was indeed a jack-of-all-trades, performing carpentry, plumbing, and electrical work, plastering, tiling, painting, and power washing – even cutting down and removing trees. If a project required new skills, he would spare no effort in learning them. He was dedicated to pleasing people with his work, striving to be the best at whatever task he faced. Before becoming ill, he managed an apartment complex in Somerset.

Skip grew up in Somerville. N.J. It was the year 1980 that Skip met Toni Yannotta through mutual friends. A loving relationship soon developed and blossomed.  The two became one on July 19, 1985, through this union a blended family was established

Skip enjoyed spending time with his wife and family every chance he can get. He loved assembling model planes in his spare time and being avid New York Giants fan, he would never miss a game.
