Juanita Murdock

Juanita Murdock (Williams) also known as “Nita” was born on October 28, 1958, in Newark, New Jersey to the late Louis and Frances Williams.  She was called by Jesus, and he welcomed her home on Friday, April 21, 2023.  As the only daughter out of four children she was a mother figure to her brothers.  She resided in Somerville most of her life.

Juanita attended the Somerville School District and graduated from Somerville High School in 1976.  She wed a beautiful PRINCE from Hobbstown, Sir Andrew Murdock and together they had two children Tatum and Kijana.  Juanita and Andy would have celebrated 29 years on July 23rd.

Family and her close childhood friends were an important aspect of her life.  She loved cooking and preparing meals for her loved ones.  Her loyalty extended to not just her family and friends but even her job which she was at for over 30 years.  Juanita loved the Lord and was a member of St. Paul Baptist Church.  As an avid Giants fan you could hear Nita cheer or boo her team from a mile away. 

Juanita Murdock was predeceased by her mother Frances Williams and her father Louis Williams.

Left to cherish Nita’s loving memories are her husband Andrew Murdock, her son Tatum Williams, daughter Kijana Williams, grandson Davian Williams, brothers James Williams (Theresa), Kevin Williams (Kim), Jack Williams, Godchildren Tatanisha Towns (Michael), Melody Murdock and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
