Lissa McQueen entered this world on May 21, 1971, in Red Bank, NJ to her loving parents Dwight McQueen Sr. and Robin Bouldin. On February 2, 2025, Lissa entered the arms of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. While our hearts are heavy, we take comfort in knowing that she has found eternal rest in the place she always knew was her true home.
Lissa attended Atlantic Highlands School District and later pursued a career in healthcare, dedicating her life to caring for others as a compassionate and skilled healthcare professional.
Lissa danced her way through life with a spirit too bright to ever be dimmed. Leaving behind a lifetime of love, laughter, and a bit of well-placed sass. Above all else, Lissa was a mother, a title she held with boundless love and fierce devotion. Her three sons were the center of her universe, and she made sure they knew it every single day. Whether she was cheering them on from the sidelines, embarrassing them with her spontaneous dance moves, or dishing out life advice with a side of humor, she was their biggest fan, their protector, and their safe place. Her love for them knew no bounds, and she made sure they were equipped not just to face the world but to conquer it.
Lissa was the kind of person who could turn strangers into friends with a single conversation. She had an unmatched ability to light up a room, a laugh that was contagious, and a heart that was always open. She loved good food, great music, and making memories with those she held dear. She lived boldly, loved deeply, and left a mark that will never fade.
While we will miss her terribly, we find comfort in knowing that she is now somewhere cracking jokes, dancing like no one’s watching, and watching over the family she adored. Lissa—mother, sister, friend, force of nature—your story will continue in the hearts of all who knew you.
In honor of Lissa, put on your favorite song, dance like you mean it, and tell the people you love just how much they mean to you.
Lissa was predeceased by her parents, Dwight McQueen Sr. and Robin Bouldin, her sister Denise Bouldin, and the father of her sons, Albert Foster.
She is survived by her beloved sons, Daeshon, Daequan, and Davon Foster of Asbury Park, NJ; her sister, Joselyn Wren (Nathiel) of Hampton, VA; and her brother, Dwight McQueen Jr. of Atlantic City, NJ. She also leaves behind her sisters of love: Almenta Foster of Asbury Park, NJ; Qzeena Taylor (Johnnie) of Neptune, NJ; Ayesha O’Neal (Jason) and Iqeera Bing (Shawn) of Philadelphia, PA; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends who will forever cherish her memory.
