Luther D Thomas

Luther “Boozer” Thomas of Piscataway, NJ was born on March 8, 1962, in Jamaica Queens, NY to Nora M. Thomas. He departed this life to be with our Lord on January 15, 2026, peacefully at home surrounded by loved ones.

Luther grew up and spent most of his life in Perth Amboy, NJ. He received his formal education through the Perth Amboy School District. He played football and graduated from Perth Amboy High School in 1981.

Luther was last employed at Sysco Corp. in Sayreville, NJ

Luther was a fun-loving person and enjoyed spending time with his family. He was a dedicated Cowboy’s fan, enjoyed listening to Ronald Isley, and the time he spent with his grandchildren.

Luther will be remembered for his vibrant spirit, his love of music, his dancing, and his love for his family and friends.

He was predeceased by his mother, his brother John Charles Thomas and God-daughter Tronda Thomas.

Luther leaves to cherish his memory; the love of his life, Sonji Kenney of Piscataway, NJ. His son Damar Jordan, his two sisters, Evangelist Sheila Williams (Troy) of Iselin, NJ, Victoria Thomas (Thomas) of Trenton, NJ, 11 grandchildren, Natalie, Sanaa, Maurice Jr., Mehki, Karter, Kareem, Nehemiah, Randie, Ka’Lon, Ariana, and Laila. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends.
