Mable L. Williams was born on May 26, 1953 to Archie J. Lee and Vermel Lee. She transitioned into eternal life on Friday, June 24, 2022.
Mabel was born and raised in Cranford NJ and also attended and graduated from Plainfield High School. Mabel attended Union County College in Cranford NJ. As a child Mabel Attended First Baptist Church in Cranford and after moving to Plainfield Mabel worked at several companies being promoted to supervisory and managerial positions at Mattel toys and also Mercury Insurance Co.
Mable and her Husband Robert E. Williams Sr. were married in her home and from that union had two sons, Robert E. Williams Jr. and Gary J. Williams (deceased).
Mabel joined the Second Baptist Church in Perth Amboy, now Cathedral International in 1988 where she served the Lord and studied diligently receiving her certificate in Intercessory Prayer. She was also a member of the Missionary Ministry. Mabel loved serving the Lord and was ordained along with her friend for many years Rebecca Garrett as Deacons under the leadership of Bishop Donald Hilliard.
Mabel took a course in cake decorating at Plainfield High Night School and became famously known for her incredibly delicious coconut cake and potato salad. She loved gardening and had a green thumb for various plants and flowers. Many benefited from her advice as she unselfishly shared her knowledge of taking care of plants and flowers with tender loving care.
Mable loved to help people, prayed for and with them in and outside of the church and wherever she traveled. Her heart felt love for the Lord and for people allowed her to have a profound effect on the lives of so many.
Mabel is predeceased by her parents, Archie J. Lee Sr. and Vermel Lee, Brothers Archie J. Lee Jr., Richard Lee, Gary Lee and son Gary J. Williams.
She is survived by son Robert Williams Jr. of Woodbridge NJ, one brother Pastor Edmond Lee Sr. (Cynthia) of Neptune NJ, two sisters Victoria Lee of South Bound Brook NJ and Gail Denise Lee of Neptune NJ, Ex-husband Robert Williams Sr. Rocky Mount NC, Aunt Esther Eggleston of Cranford NJ, Aunt Emma Carter of Linden NJ, one Uncle Daniel Curtis Lee of Virginia and a host of cousins, a niece, nephews and friends
