Margie Jean Dove was born on September 8, 1952 to Alice Adelle Grady and Robert Taylor in Lenoir County. Margie received her formal education in the Lenoir County School System and met the love of her life, Ervin, during her middle school years. They were united in holy matrimony on March 27, 1972, before moving to New Jersey to start their life together.
Margie attended the Robert Walsh Business School in Union, NJ, earning a degree in Business. She worked as an enrollment specialist for Horizon Blue Cross & Blue Shield of New Jersey for more than 30 years. Margie enjoyed reading her Bible, spreading God’s word, and shopping in her leisure. Possessing a true servant’s heart, she faithfully cared for her children and grandchildren by cooking delicious meals and instilling the principles of Christ. Margie was a member of Union Baptist Church in South River, NJ, and had an intimate relationship with the Lord. She maintained a sweet and simple demeanor that won the trust and hearts of many, who are even now being changed by witnessing her constant nurturing love and faith. Margie was indeed a Proverbs 31 woman!
Margie departed this life on February 18, 2022. Her strong will to live, unwavering faith in God, and the love and prayers of family, friends, and many supporters carried her through her illness. She was preceded in death by her parents and two siblings, Robert and Sharon. Married for 49 years, she leaves a life of love and memories to her husband, Ervin Dove, Sr; three children Alicia (Reginald), Ervin Jr., and Yolanda (Morris); six grandchildren Shamece, Melodie, Reginald Jr., Morris IV, Delilah, and Gabriel; three great-grandchildren Jayden, Jada, and Jaliyah; four sisters Lucy, Linda, Barbara, and Dedra (Tony); six brothers William, Antonio, Larry, Dewayne, Ronald, and Eric; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
