Born in Long Branch, NJ on August 28, 1964, Michele Glenn was the eldest daughter of Beatrice Glenn. Michele grew up in Red Bank and attended Red Bank Regional where her love of theater and track and field flourished. Michele was a teacher's aide at Monmouth Daycare. Michele’s true passion was the stage. Michele graduated from Brookdale Community College with a degree in theatrical arts. Her personality and skill shined through when she was on the stage. She worked with RTG Productions and other companies on many theatrical plays like “A Christmas Carol”, “Dracula”, “A Chorus Line” and” Father of the Bride”. A shining point of her career was an extra in the movie “The Bonfire of the Vanities”. Michele’s desire to help more people and give back to her community led her back to Brookdale Community College to pursue her degree in social work. She volunteered at local food pantries and The Salvation Army, especially during the holidays.
In 2015, Michele rededicated her life to Christ and joined Searchlight Church of Long Branch, NJ. Michele was very involved in the church when she was able to attend small groups, volunteering at community events, and serving as a greeter. Her bubbly and welcoming personality was balm to many.
After a long battle with health complications, Michele Glenn departed this world to be with the Lord on August 18, 2024. Michele is predeceased by her mother Beatrice Glenn, her grandparents Elner and Jessie Sr, an aunt Dolly Stradford, two uncles William Glenn, and Jessie Glenn Jr. Michele leaves to cherish her memories her Uncles Columbus Glenn of Irvington, NJ, Hayward Glenn of South Carolina, Michael Ervin and wife Sonia of South Carolina, and an aunt Elizabeth Glenn of Irvington, NJ, aunt-in-law Jeanette Glenn and Gertrude Glenn, uncle-in-law John Stradford of NJ. Her brother Eugene Glenn, and sister-in-law Roberta Glenn. Her loving nieces Nicholette and Sirita Glenn. Her precious cousins Stephan Glenn and Tyra Glenn. As well as a cherished god-sister and sister to Melissa Cooper, Yolanda Cooper, and Matthew Cooper. She leaves to cherish her memories a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, cousins, and other deeply loved family and friends.
