Lawrence Tremayne Williams, received his wings on Friday, March 26, 2021 in Leonardo, New Jersey.  He was born on December 5, 1972, the second oldest of three children, in Boynton Beach, Florida to Lawrence T. Williams and Linda J. Cleveland.

Lawrence grew up in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, where he received his formal education at 24th Street Elementary School, Burroughs Middle School and South Division High School in Milwaukee, Wisconsin where he graduated in 1991. In the Fall of 1991 to Spring of 1996, he attended the University of Mississippi colloquially Ole Miss University, Oxford, Mississippi. In 2014 Lawrence received  his Degree of Bachelor of Science in Religion from Liberty University and graduated with high honors. In addition, he recently completed GCN Training and received his credentials for substitute teaching. Lawrence was also employed for over 25 years by Enterprise Car Rental. He was a loyal, valuable employee who was respected and loved by his Enterprise family. 

As a young man Lawrence was baptized into the family of believers at the age of 12, at Mt. Zion M.B. Church, Milwaukee, Wisconsin. As a member he served in the following organizations: Junior Usher Board, choir member and Mt. Zion’s basketball team.

Lawrence relocated to New Jersey, where he met his beautiful, loving wife, Sharon. This loving couple was married on May 12, 2002. To this union three children were born:  Nicole, Nicholas and Nalani. Lawrence was a family man to the core and always went above and beyond to make his family happy.

As a young adult Lawrence drew closer to the Lord and answered the call to preach.On May 20, 2012 he preached his initial sermon and was licensed to preach the Gospel by Rev. Dr. Henry P. Davis, JR. Since that time Lawrence served as an Associate Minister, Youth Leader, Advisor, and Co-Director of the youth choir. As a faithful member and Minister of St. Paul Baptist Church he was known as “Minister Lo.”

As well as being a Minister, Lawrence was also a Basketball Coach for BYAA Basketball League in Middletown, NJ, an AAU Basketball Coach, and a Personal Basketball Trainer for his own company, Elite Baller Academy. He loved Basketball and was more than a coach, he was also a mentor.

Lawrence also possessed so many talents including, carpentry and landscaping, and we cannot forget his DJ skills and expertise on the grill. He often called himself “The Grill Master.”

Lawrence leaves to morn his wife; Sharon, his children; Nicole, Nicholas and Nalani.  His mother, Linda (John) Witherspoon, his father Lawrence Williams, two sisters; Andrea Williams (Valentine Payne), and Melodie (Chris) Washington, His aunt, Mae Kern, His Father-in law; Virgil Williams, His sister and brother-in-laws, Colette, Colin, and Waine Williams, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and many special friends.
