Pamela Hudson

Pamela Ann Hudson was born in Elizabeth, New Jersey on July 15, 1953, to the late Silas Hudson Sr. and Harriet Hudson. She was the 4th of six children. Pamela departed this life after a brief illness on Wednesday, March 5, 2025.

Pam attended Linden Public School system and graduated in 1971. She was a secretary at Merck & Co. for many years before moving to St. Petersburg, Florida. Pam worked as a secretary for Honeywell, in St. Petersburg, then as Communications Liaison for Raytheon, in Seminole, Florida. Pamela retired from Raytheon in 2013.

Pam loved family and friends. She had the biggest heart in the world. Her home was always open and she would give anything to help people. She would feed the homeless, give them clothes and money. Pam made everyone feel like they were a part of the family. 

Pam was baptized at Greater Mount Moriah Baptist Church in Linden, New Jersey, where her father was associate pastor. When she moved to St. Petersburg, Florida, she joined Bethel Metropolitan Baptist Church, where her father, Silas Hudson Sr., was the associate pastor. She sang in the young adult choir. 

Pam was predeceased by her father, Silas Hudson Sr., her mother, Harriet Hudson; three brothers, Richard and Lamont Hudson (St. Petersburg, Fl.) and Steven Hudson (Columbus, OH).

Pam leaves to cherish her in memory, two sons Harvis Brantley III of Columbus, Ohio and Ameen Hudson (Jasmine) of Land O’ Lake, Florida; five grandchildren Xavier, Jabriel, and Ameena Brantly, Harviena Curry, Ameen Hudson Jr.; one sister, Linda Starks of Somerset, NJ; one brother, Silas Hudson Jr. (Nicole) of Tampa, FL; two sister-in-laws, Janie Hudson of Conyers, GA and Yolanda Hudson of St. Petersburg, FL; and host of relatives and friends.
