Patrick Branch

Patrick Hugh Branch was born on April 21, 1960, in St. Joseph, Barbados. He was the youngest and fourth son of Beryl and Merton Oscar Branch. Patrick attended West St. Joseph High School and Samuel Jackman Institute of Technology studying photography and architectural drafting. In Barbados, he excelled as an architectural draftsman in model making and photographic drafting at Design Collaborative. He worked as an architectural drafter before emigrating to Brooklyn, New York in 1985. That same year he married and settled down with his wife, Sheldene Millington. 

In Brooklyn, Patrick continued to follow his passion for architectural drawing and project management, attending Pratt Institute and working in the architectural industry in NYC. In his career as a project manager his team oversaw construction of the American Museum of Natural History, Museum of Modern Art, New Jersey Traffic Management Center and projects for the Woodbridge Township School District. 

In 2002, Patrick moved from New York to New Jersey with his family and joined First Baptist Church of Lincoln Gardens. He became an active member joining the Men's Ministry and volunteered with the Jr. Jam Ministry. Patrick was also a Scout Leader for Boy Scouts of America and is the current President of Brunswick Toastmasters International. 

At the height of the 2009 recession, he started and managed a highly successful pest control business up to his day of death. An avid lover of his birthplace, Patrick returned to Barbados multiple times during the year, to check on friends and family. 

Just eight days after his 63rd birthday, Patrick departed this earthly life for eternal rest on April 29, 2023. He will now be returned to his birthplace in Barbados, where he will be laid to rest by his mom who passed in November 2022. 

He leaves behind to cherish his life: his loving wife, Sheldene Branch; his three children: Jonathan, Jason and Janella Branch; two siblings, Donicia and Yvette Branch; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Patrick will be sorely missed but like Job we will not charge foolishly. The Lord gives and the Lord takes away. Blessed be the name of the Lord.  And in God's house for evermore, his dwelling place shall be.
