Pearlie M Finch

On December 20, 2023, Pearlie M Finch earned her wings and went to walk with the angels. Pearlie was 87 years old and was a wonderful mother who was always there when we needed her.  

Born October 3, 1936 in Nash County, North Carolina to the parents of Budd and Dolly Finch.  Pearlie  was the third of four children and is predecased by her sister Lillian Thomas of Greensboro, NC and two brothers Bobby Ray Finch and Otha Ray Finch of Wilson, NC.

In 1966, Pearlie moved her family from North Carolina to New Jersey seeking better job opportunities. Pearlie began her work career at New York Girls Coat Factory for several years and ultimately retiring from Glasgow & Sons in 1998. An advocate church goer, Pearlie joined and was baptized May 16,1993 at Second Baptist Church of Perth Amboy.

Pearlie resided at Birchwood Ingerman Senior Communities, formerly known as the Parkview. Pearlie enjoyed sitting in Washington Park during the Spring and Summer months. Pearlie loved the soap operas: All My Children, General Hospital, Dynasty and Falcon's Crest to name a few.

Pearlie  is survived by daughters Judith F. Childress of Piscataway, NJ, Margaret A. Davis ( Stanley Davis) of Clinton, MD, Linda L. Finch of Perth Amboy, NJ and son Herman Finch of Springfield, MA, ten grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.

There are no goodbyes for us. Mom will be missed for her words of wisdom, her kindness, and comforting hugs.
