Roberta Lee Lewis was born in Somerville, NJ on September 26, 1949. She passed away on her way to church on January 14, 2024. She was 74 years old when she departed this life to be in glory. She was married to Grover Lewis for 56 years. They resided in Whitehall PA.
She leaves to cherish her memory her husband Grover. Her (son) Michael Lewis of Branchburg NJ, (daughters) Heather Lewis of Denver Colorado and Lacretia Lewis of Philadelphia PA. Sisters Luvenia Carter of Somerville, NJ, Sophia Hoagland of Ewing NJ, Gloria Miller of Phillipsburg NJ, Tobisa Coleman (Anthony) of Berwick PA. (Grandchildren) Michael Lewis Jr., Cherelle Lewis, Jordan Lewis, Chyna Lewis, Phoenix Lewis and 2- Great grandchildren. Preceded in death by her parents her (Father) Robert Lee Jackson, (Mother) Gertrude Tenbroeck, (Brother) Anthony Tenbroeck and (Brother) Raymond Tenbroeck Jr.
Roberta graduated from Somerville High School in 1968.
She worked at Ortho Diagnostics for over 30 years and while working commuted from Pennsylvania to New Jersey until she retired. She also worked part time at Dunkin Dounts when she worked at Ortho Diagnostics. After she retired from Ortho she went on to work with New York Life until she passed away.
Roberta was baptized and accepted Jesus Christ as her lord and personal savior at Franklin Baptist Church of Lincoln Gardens in Somerset NJ. She was attending Life Church in PA at the time of her death.
Roberta was a loving wife, mother, sister and grandmother. She was very soft spoken and loved her family especially her grandchildren. She lived a full and vibrant life from beginning to end and touched the lives of many people along the way. She had a very caring and forgiving soul and spirit.
