Vivian Garnere

On Monday May 29, 2023, Vivian Garnere, loving mother of three children, a sister and friend, passed away at age 74, in Virginia Beach, VA.

Vivian Garnere was born on June 13, 1948, to Pasco and Josephine Noble. she grew up in Somerville, New Jersey where she attended public school, received her GED from Somerville Vo-Tech, and later earned her cosmetology license. 

Vivian was well loved by the Somerville community and her passion for helping others was shown through her involvement with the Somerville Youth Development Program, Somerville Federation of Youth, and the Somerset Neighborhood Health Clinic. Additionally, this passion led her to open a cosmetology shop in her home followed by becoming an entrepreneur of Vivian’s Hair Works. All the while she managed to raise and send her three children to college.

Vivian worked for Ethicon and Sanofi-Aventis prior to relocating to Virginia Beach, VA in 2013, where she continued to use her administrative and people skills at various companies. She was a friend to all who knew her. Her straightforwardness and her graciousness were an important part of who she was.

Vivian is predeceased by her parents, Pasco and Josephine Noble and her older sister, Victory Emanuel. she is survived by her three children, Terry Noble (Kim), Monique Lewis (Lamont), Tanisha Coit (Brian); grandchildren, Sherice Doman, Sage Wood (Cynthia), Terrence Noble, Imani Noble, Khai Rice, Khalli Rice, Chase Coit and Colin Coit; one great-grandchild, Peyton Winfrey, three siblings, Willie Noble (Ina), Cathy Dorsey, and Patricia Noble, a host of nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, and a multitude of loving friends.
